Technology Integration Assistant (Louisville City Schools)

Responsible to: Director of Technology/Assistant Superintendent
Job Objective: Responsible for providing daily support in blended learning and technology integration within the building
Note: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance
Essential Functions:
- Maintains liaison and active participation with leaders in technology at the state, regional, and national levels
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, and parents
- Attend meetings and in-services as required
- Assist and facilitate professional development experiences for employees of the schools
- Remain current with best practices in blended learning and technology integration
- Provide staff with solutions to instruction/technology integration problems
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of technology
- Strong leadership skills
- Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate manner
- Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Buidling Principal and/or Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Five to 10 years related experience preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with administrators, staff, students, and parents
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships
- Ability to promote excellent public relations
- Demonstrate computer skills utilizing word processing and databases
- Demonstrate organizational management and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate skills in oral and written communication
- Demonstrate skills in technology integration and blended learniing
Equipment Operated:
- Any and all pertinent equipment to the foregoing job description and the ability to learn all new and upcoming technology
Additional Duties and Working Conditions:
- Occasional requirement to travel, both daily and overnight
- Occasional weekend/evening/summer work
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue
- Occasional interaction among unruly children
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions
- Repetitive hand motions, e.g., computer keyboard, typing, calculator, writing
- Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, climb, and stoop
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the county superintendent or his/her designee
- Comply with the policies of the board and regulations of the Stark County Educational Service Center and individual school district procedures.
